Work Mode

It is hard to believe that this summer is already passing us by—but as they say, all good things must come to an end.

Whether you work in a traditional office setting or remotely, there are several means of getting yourself out of the post-vacation blues. Here are some of our top 3 suggestions for getting back into fall work mode:

  1. Be ambitious and find motivation.

Having ambition is one of the best ways to motivate yourself to keep moving forward. Do you still remember the resolutions and goals you set for yourself in January? How many have you checked off so far? Believe it or not, there are only four months left of 2015. What career goals did you make for yourself? 1. Make and follow a to-do list.

Forming good habits can help you do more with less. New York is a fast-paced city with tons of happenings going on each day. As a busy New Yorker, be sure to make those lists to ensure you don’t forget what needs to get done the following day. And don’t forget to schedule yourself socially as well! In real estate? 1. Tackle email by importance.

What is the first thing you are going to do when you start working? Email plays a significant role in modern people’s lives. Thus, managing your emails effectively becomes a necessity if you want to raise your working efficiency. Remember those lists you worked on making? Keep track of what is most important first! Get in those replies and then treat yourself to checking some of the goodies that popped up in your promotions tab.

We all ease back into “real life” at a different pace. But with a small stretch of the summer left, it is smart to feel prepared with a plan to get you into that work mode. Summer vacations are great for hitting the rest button, but take the steps you need to keep moving forward as well.
