Marjorie Ramos is the Head of Human Resources at Town Sports International. She leads the HR function in a collaborative and forward-thinking fashion to support the company’s turnaround strategies to capture market share, drive revenue and increase profitability. The HR function does this by ensuring the hiring, development and retention of top talent focused on customer service and achieving bottom line results. Marjorie also leads the Shared Services function tasked with ensuring transactional HR processes are state of the art, efficient and ever-evolving to support the business.This Shared Services team includes the Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Change Management, Talent Management, and Compensation/Benefits/HRIS/Payroll functions.

Her previous work in HR has been extensive, across companies such as H&M, Gap Inc., and Yum! Brands. While serving as the Country HR Manager for H&M, Marjorie developed and executed the People Strategy for the US business unit. This included implementing “best employer” work practices and building meaningful partnerships with functional leaders to best create a high performance work culture.

Though her job roles have varied, Marjorie has always handled employee needs with the utmost respect for both the business and the employee. She remains focused on treating an employee with dignity, while solving issues in a way that both would foster trust between the employee and the organization, maximizing loyalty and job satisfaction.
