We have all heard that networking is still one of the most powerful methods of connecting to career/job opportunities and will most likely stay that way forever. But most people don’t know how to effectively build and use networks to increase their odds to connect to opportunities.
That’s exactly where we specialize at Eventsy and are here to help our members make the most of their professional networking and socializing (as you know, we believe in keeping things balanced).
We have a number of great activities this week for those who are looking to switch careers, advance in their current positions or maybe even secure a new gig. And to provide the right work/life balance, we’re hosting our popular and ever-growing monthly professionals happy hour social.
Join us on May 14 to attend a free “networking and LinkedIn Seminar” starting at 12:30pm at the Grand Central Library, 135 E 46th Street. Then be sure to test your newly formed networking skills at our happy hour social taking place later that day at the Hudson Terrace, 621 West 46th Street, where hundreds of members will gather to share business cards over drinks.
Eventsy Members are also invited to the 7th installment of the Homebrew NYC Tech Job Fair. These are small informal job fairs without all the fuss of a large convention hall. Finally, for those who are interested in starting something of your own, come out to the effective seminar, 10 Steps to Starting Your Own Business on May 16. The seminar will be held at the NYC Business Solutions Brooklyn Center.
