Meet Billy Fradys: New Yorker, Yankees fan, Eventsy Member
Q: What brings you to Eventsy?
A: I love meeting different people; I love mingling with people.
Q: What do you do and where are you from?
A: I invest in real estate and I also do a little bit of broker work. I was born and raised in the Bronx.
Q: Tell us your favorite pastime in New York City.
A: I love going to baseball games. One time I went to 60 games at Yankee Stadium. I remember when the Yankees were in game six of the World Series – I did not have tickets so I wanted to surround myself with Yankee fans. Since I live in the Bronx, I decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe (which is next to the stadium), where I noticed the door to the entrance of Yankee Stadium had a security guard that would leave now and then. The entire time I was at the bar I would check if the security guard had walked away from his post. I saw my chance. When he walked away, I opened the door and walked right into the stadium. So I got to see the final game of the 2009 World Series for free! I wish I had pictures to prove this.
Q: What’s your favorite bar/ restaurant in the city?
A: Wherever there are people who are friendly and approachable is my favorite bar.
Q: If you could plan one extravagant event, what would it be?
A: There are so many to choose from. Maybe a sporting event. There are so many things to do in the city!
